Bluedust EPC Phases - Energy performance Certificates

Phase 1 : EPC Readiness

Firstly, we need to asnwer the questions:
Is the client ready to apply for an EPC?
What data does the client have? What is the state of the data? What is the client's current energy profile?

Phase 2 : Perform EPC

Secondly, if the client is ready to apply for an EPC, the data gathered in Phase 1 is analyzed, buildings are audited and a report is compiled. This report is submitted to the SANAS inspection body for evaluation.

Phase 3 : Issue EPC

Finally, once the report has been reviewed by the SANAS accredited inspection body, the EPC will be issued to the client and submitted to SANEDI.

We will provide the client with a list of the relevant data required to perform the EPC readiness and energy profile assessment.

Bluedust will then evaluate the data and determine if the client can apply for an EPC with what they have available, or if additional data is required.

Bluedust will provide the client with a report indicating the state of their energy related data, what the likely EPC rating is that they will recieve, and identify gaps in the data that need to be filled before an EPC can be performed.

If the client is deemed to be ready to apply for an EPC, Phase 2 can be started.

If the client is not EPC-ready, then Bluedust will suggest the next steps to take in improving the client’s energy management systems.

Bluedust’s team of experienced experts will then analyze the data according to the SABS standards for EPCs.

The client’s buildings will then be inspected according to the SABS standards to verify the information collected and analyzed.

Bluerdust will then compile a report according to the SABS standards for EPCs.

Bluedust will finally  submit their findings to their preferred SANAS inspection body.

The SANAS inspection body will then review the report and data that has been submitted by Bluedust.

Pending the inspection body’s findings, they will then issue EPCs for the buildings in question or return it for further investigation.

Bluedust will then provide the client with the EPC and submit it to SANEDI for inclusion in the national register for EPCs, or implement the changes requested by the inspection body.
